According to the graph, production from fish farming rose about 20 million metric tons between 1950 and 2005. The use of aquaculture wasn't very popular, most of the time, people used to get seafood from the nature. It was until 1975, people started to use aquaculture as a way to produce more fishes, the use of it was doubled, but wild capture rose slightly, nearly remained the same. However, in recent years, aquaculture is still more prefered than wild capture.
