10,000 BC - 19,000 BC
The Neolithic Revolution, or the First Agricultural Revolution, was the wide-scale transition of many human cultures during the Neolithic period from a lifestyle of hunting and gathering to one of agriculture and settlement, making an increasingly large population possible. Crops in the form of ears or spikelets could be successfully stored for several years, while dehusked grain, more vulnerable to pests, would be stored for shorter periods. Traditionally, large quantities of crops were commonly stored in installations like pits and bins. The first livestock were domesticated from animals that Neolithic humans hunted for meat. Domestic pigs were bred from wild boars, for instance, while goats came from the Persian ibex.

2.58 million Years ago

In the Paleolithic period roughly 2.5 million years ago to 10,000 B.C, early humans lived in caves or simple huts or tepees and were hunters and gatherers. They used basic stone and bone tools, as well as crude stone axes, for hunting birds and wild animals. The Paleolithic Era was also located in caves where they made weapons with stone and sticks to hunt and protect themselves from animals that are a threat towards them.

4,000 BCE - 12,000 BCE
Mesopotamia was one of the earliest river valley civilization, starting to form around 4000 BCE. The civilization was created after regular trading started relationships between multiple cities and states around the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Mesopotamian cities became self-run civil governments.
They were among the first to develop a system of uniform weights and measures. This was the first civilization to incorporate urban sanitation systems. Personal hygiene seems to have been a high priority. Their art was highly advanced. Early civilizations developed bronze tools, the wheel, the sail, the plow, writing, and mathematics. These innovations spread through trade, wars, and the movement of peoples.
