Stanza 2: Dickinson discusses how it is not money and power that attracts all people to friendship or love. She stresses that through the repetition of the word "unmoved."
Stanza 3: Dickinson tells about the permanence of the choices that the soul makes. 
This poem explores the reason why people choose to to make some people or things more important than others in their eyes. Dickinson is trying to contrive what it is that causes people to chose the friends they do. She believes that it is the soul that guides one to surround themselves with the friends they chose and significant other they chose. She believes it is our souls that communicate with each other to lead us to people that would best be suited to help us prosper and grow. She is trying to inform the audience that something that is crazy to one person might be order for another and vise versa. The poem is filled with short phrases which ensure that certain words of the poem are emphasized for affect. There are also a large number of hyphens in the poem with symbolizes pauses in the poem. These pauses add dramatic affect to the overall tone of the passage. The repetition of the word "unmoved" in the second and fourth lines of the second stanza adds emphasis to the idea that a person will remain unmoved in their values for friendship.
