It was given to them. Are they bad people? No, the leadership style is not cut out for what we do. Behavior has been passed around every couple of years.  We are treated like the children we support. Yet, we still show up for the KIDS... We are the hardest workers, we love our job and we always give 100%.
 We as a department have changed, created and implemented more than any other department in special education. We do not beg for recognition. Our work goes unnoticed, until there is a "fire" and then we are expected to stop supporting our units and put it out.

I feel our team has never been supported by leadership and we have been passed around. We have had one great director who understood behavior, and allowed our supervisor to  supervise. (S.Hunt)

When we do something great, then the current upper leadership takes credit for that. When it does not make them look good "They do whatever they can to cover or make it look good" even if its not compliant or legal. 

Its exhausting.... Our department are the biggest advocates for the kids. I mean who else would show up daily to deal with the most volatile children?

At the end of the day I feel thankful for all the interactions with children. However, when I wake up in the morning the thought of all the unnecessary drama, extra nonsense work, dictatorship from our director makes me not want come to work daily. She has killed my spirit. Even worse is our ED turns a blind eye. I know concerns have been brought to her attention , and nothing has changed. Our SEL has never been put first. 

I hate this, because I LOVE my job, my team and the students. 

I cannot speak for our department, but honestly, we don't care what department we are under. WE just need someone who is education to the fullest in Sped and supports growth on our team. 
In our current situation there is ZERO support, caring, empathy or understanding. 

We are happy to have a new fresh transformational leader. Who can lead us in special education
