I can definitely see both sides of the argument. First off, he didn't really do anything other than kill people. He made no difference, during his war time, to actually put a dent in slavery, it just made slave owners more wanting to fight back causing even worse deaths  at the time. But on the other hand his head was in the right space of wanting to stop slavery. I just think he should of, and could of, went a bout this is a bit of a better way. So he was not really the worst person in the world. But I wouldn't necessarily say he is is a hero to the anti-slavery causes.
