An AI in VR that helps the students to improve their vocabulary skills, either to learn new vocabs, helps them to remember, and then helps to them to ouse it in their daily life. It works when you write down a certain word, the image and the videos of explaining and describing the word definition and how to use the word in your daily life will come out in the VR.

The problems that are solved by using VR for this program :

Students in PBI UMY sometimes struggling while speaking, either due to their pronunciation or they are not confident enough.

3. How the project solve the problem?
This apps will help the user to improve their speaking skills, correct their pronunciation, and help their to become fluent. So, after using this apps, hopefully the user will speaks confidently.

4. Which technology will they use?

Define the problem:
Speaking. There are still some students who are not confident enough to speak publicly because of the pronunciation they are lacking on.
Especially they who are introverts.

How the project solve problem:
This project will help them to do practices and exercises on their pronunciation. There will be an AI (like Siri) which they can talk to. They will be provided some sentences to read (to a certain topic which they can choose), and the AI will correct their pronunciation after the sessions end. At the end they will how accurate their pronunciation are (here they will practice the words that are not pronounced correctly with the AI), and they can repeat the session to get a better percentage of accuracy.

Which technology will they use:
AI which is supported with audio medias (microphone and speaker) through an app/platform which can be accessed on phones or webs.

Problem statement: Most PBI students’ activities is writing in English. However, some PBI students feel less confident of their writing mostly because they think their language ability are still limited. These situations also felt by senior student who are going to write a research which is a part of scientific writing that has some rules in it.

Project’s Purpose and techlonogy: WREC is expected to help students in writing because there are some helpful features in it which is make students’ easier to write especially for scientific writing.
