The ability to exchange many ideas led to developing more advanced arithmetic and creating a lot of very rare and religious books from the many Caliphs that they had. It also led to the invention of paper and many advancements in medicine. Islam also advanced a lot in the astronomy field such as discovering many stars and translating astronomical texts. The invention of paper also led to more ideas spreading due to the abundance and cheapness of the paper which connects back to the Islamic Empire Causes.

All of the important things such as religious books that were created in the Islamic Empire were all stored in the House of Wisdom and the House of Wisdom was created and founded by the authority which shows the authority supporting the Revolutions in Thought. The House of Authority was used for storing many important items and ideas and they later exchanged these ideas with Europe. The authority supported the Revolution in Thought and new ways of thinking because they believed that growing knowledge would grow and enhance their relationship with their God. Trade and Geography was extremely important in the Islamic Empire because due to the location as a trade hub they were able to exchange many thoughts and goods with other continents such as Europe, Asia, and Africa. They also had very good geographic luck which allowed them to have very successful farming and agriculture. (Islam Textbook).

The exchange of many thoughts, ideas, and goods was a key factor in the beginning and start of their Scientific Revolution, which was a Revolution in Thought. They were also really close to the Islamic region and this helped a lot with how much they were actually able to trade and how many ideas and goods they could actually obtain from trading with other countries. The geography also allowed for a lot of exploration which could also be a reason for why they were able to exchange and share so many different ideas with other countries. (Slides).

There were various different innovations in the Song Dynasty including the civil service exams and the reason for most of these innovations was the fact that they exchanged many thoughts with other countries and this led to them developing a better way to choose who their leaders were and making sure that they were capable of doing their job well. They also invented the compass which was able to help them in more expansion and exploration. Lastly, they also invented gunpowder which was a very important innovation.(“Song Dynasty”).

The Song Dynasty's authority supported the Revolution in Thought by supporting and rewarding the people that came up with and developed innovations. The more capable leaders that came out of the development of the civil service exams also helped with the support and development of a new political structure, and that new authority then supported the Revolution in Thought and the new ways of thinking. Europe had many discoveries in the scientific field. One of these was the heliocentric theory and how the Earth wasn't actually the center of the universe, this theory was developed because of how society asked and answered big questions with others from maybe other religions or countries. Europe also invented the printing press which allowed for quicker spread of new ideas and thoughts.(“Nicholas Copernicus”).

This box connects back to Europe Causes because the printing press was a major factor in how quickly information and thoughts were able to be shared and transmitted.

The actual authority in Europe being the church was not actually supportive of the Revolution in Thought and would severely punish people that tried to establish new thoughts and ideas. Some thinkers such as Copernicus, Newton and Galileo took some control and together all started to question the authority and come up with big answers to big questions, the church didn't support this so they decided to punish these big names. If the church or authority was more supportive the Scientific Revolution would probably be a lot more successful and more would come out of it. (“What was the Renaissance?”).

This box connects with Europe Innovations because the thinkers that took some control over the people of Europe came up with the major new ideas and one of the most important being the heliocentric theory which completely changed the way that Europeans looked at themselves.
