And, finally, all that is left is sanitary compost, which can be used as garden compost in your backyard. 

Of late, thanks to advanced technology, composting toilets have undergone drastic changes in terms of utility and designing. Nowadays, composting toilets are available in improved variants, making them suitable and convenient for household use. 

For home usage, one can opt for either central composting or self contained toilet units. The former mentioned type can be used a two way system, combining conventional toilet with composting toilet. These are placed either in the basement of the house or any external area. As for the latter mentioned type, it is available in electric and non-electric versions and are seen placed inside the bathroom.
