Behavior side of the pyramid. A lot of the time the co-teacher is the one dealing with behaviors instead of actually co-teaching.

My main takeaway is that less is more. Keep instruction at grade-level and very intentional.

This was great! I feel like I’ve learned a lot about the WHY behind tier 2 small groups.

I would love to have some support for my lower groups who are being HEAVILY scaffolded up to grade level texts. I would also love to see how to utilize iready in a way that would be beneficial to students and some new ways to make tier 2 groups fun and engaging.

I love the idea of on-grade level for small groups…..makes so much sense.

What do groups look at when we are focusing more on foundational skills (spelling, decoding) when normally those are only day one day two and the remaining days are comprehension? Should we do more days for those and less days on comprehension?

Do a check in after 2 weeks and see if we’re able to use iReady resources appropriately for tier 2. Do we need to streamline or change the process so it’s faster? Do we need a template?

It may be helpful to include some practical examples of what this could look like? Maybe get specific with a grade level standard and show what it might look like to teach tier 1, tier 2, etc. Examples of master schedule, how to fit tier 2 in a day, etc.?

When a kid doesn’t get it during tier 1, I should go back and look at the scale (level 2) to see what specific skill is missing and retract it differently. I didn’t think about it this way before. I also like the idea of figuring out my most important things.

I’m using grade level text for Tier 2, but struggle with students that are barely reading and have a hard time comprehending the grade level text. How do I get more support with those students when Tier 3 isn’t enough.
