1) Buy clothes from second hand stores. Nearly every city has got second hand stores and it‘s an easy and cheap way to buy new clothes.

2) Check the product before buying it. Look at the product and check it‘s quality, are the seems sewd in a bad way? Is the quality really that good? Was it produced by workers who get treated badly or within child work? Always ask yourself if you really need the product if the quality isn‘t that good. It‘s better for the enviroment because we don‘t have to throw away our clothes that early.

3) Another great way to buy your clothes substainable is buying recycled clothes. Some campaigns sell clothing made out of the leftover plastic from plastic bottles or plastic that was thrown away before. We don‘t have to produce new finres if we can just use the ones we already have.

4) Last tip we came up with is trading clothes. For example if you and your friends have got the same clothing size, you can just trade your clothes. If you find some old clothes you don‘t like anymore you can ask your friends or other people you know if they like it and would like to wear it.

Here are a few tips on how to source clothes sustainably.

If you don’t like a clothing anymore you can try to restyle something old into something new for example a dress. You can try to sew it or you can give it into an alterations tailoring. You can also try to repair something and to substitute plastic in a sustainable way with it. That’s a nice way how you can upcycle your old clothes.

You could try clothes swapping. You exchange clothes you

don't need anymore for someone else's clothes.

It has many benefits because you can update your

wardrobe without environmental costs and you can add

clothes to your wardrobe without spending money.

Also buying second-hand clothes is an eco-smart way

of sourcing clothes. It avoids the production of more new clothes and saves water and energy. It is also a good way to reduce your environmental impact.
