A major household name that most Americans enjoy, and are still familiar with today, would be McDonald's.
McDonald's has been dominating the fast food industry for many years now. We have seen many commercial ads over the years from McDonald's, some of them being quite mouth-dropping, and not quite the watery type. In the 1970's ad posted by TheBlackEnterprise.com 
 from McDonald's you can see a group of young AA people dining at McDonald's. They seem to be happy, and enjoying beverages, but if you look closer at the picture, you see that there are only colored people in the ad, no diversity at all. The ad says "Get Down" with a Cheeseburger," obviously targeting black consumers, aimed by using particular "slang".
