Small groups and self contained classrooms had between 3-7 students. The second grade sped room was directly across the hall from the other second grade rooms. While in the gen ed room students often had a para that worked directly with them. A couple students had desk accommodations or flexible seating. I think it is important for them to experience the classroom with other students, but also be able to move to a smaller and quieter setting to have the support they need to complete assignments.
