We focused on Learning component which is a strategic area. Learning is divided into 4 standards
  • Coherent curriculum–( Focus more on school Admins and teachers)Planning , Collaboration, designing curriculum– 
  • Lifelong learners (Focus more on learners)–How do we get our students to be future ready, ATLs , Skill dev, Independent learners, LP
  • Approaches to teaching (concept, Inquiry, Context, reflection)
  • Approaches to assessment (Methods , Data, Reporting analysis)
  • Also discussed 21st century skills in context of IM--handling and managing conflicts, coping up with change/flexibility
We look forward to read the document periodically and  work on areas of improvement .

We all were digging deeper like IB learners would do. We looked into the aspect of learning which is the central part of IB philosophy, through the lenses of coherent curriculum, lifelong learners, approaches to teaching and assessment. We collaborated and listed out scope of improvement in different areas. Today's workshop has given an insight about how each and every principle can be implemented through fulfilling each requirement as per the specifications for the different programs. We started by decoding the IB mission statement and keyed into the word International mindedness and identifying that IM is to be compassionate, open-minded, and Intercultural. We also understood that the standards and practices remain the same but the requirements for the programs differ.
