E.g: She is a walking dictionary (metaphor wiki 2022.)

This does not mean literally that someone has turned into a dictionary and is walking around, this is figurative language saying somebody knows a lot of words and their definitions such as a dictionary, (metaphor wiki 2022.)

E.g Of Simile: You are as sweet as honey (idiomsthefreedictionary 2022)

This does not mean that I am literally sweet as honey if you bite into me, it means that somebody is very kind.  This is what the simile means.

This has a topic, which is friendship and the message is keep your friendships and don't lose them despite difficult situations.

 The author believes that fighting for equality is fighting against sameness.

E.g of alliteration: She sells sea shells by the seashore (Mary Anning 2022)

This has alliteration used in it as, the words, she sells sea shells and seashore all begin with the same letter.  This is also a commonly known tongue twister.

E.g of rhyme:
The sun shines so bright.  Where does it go every night? (Teachers pay Teachers, 2022)

This example uses to words that have the same ending and that sound like each other.  The words used are bright and night, they both rhyme together with the exact same ending.

This does not literally mean that the wind is howling, humans howl instead.  This means that the wind was blowing a lot and there was a loud noise because of that.

E.g of imagery: The softness of the rose petals contrasted intensely with the sharp stab of thorns (Wattpad 2022)

This is incredibly detailed including how the situation was visually and descriptively.  The author gained the readers attention by describing it into great detail.  The author could have just written: the petals were much softer than the sharp thorns.  However, this does not gain the readers attention that much.

E.g of stanza: 
"In the winter it's every kid's dream
As snowflakes begin to appeal,
That suddenly there'll be a blizzard,
And they'll cancel school for the year". (Socratic Josiah 2022)

This is a group of lines put together as one big part for a poem specifically.  This is very similar to a verse in a song, it is one part that is made with different sentences.  However a stanza is specifically used only for a poem.

E.g of assonance:  The cat had a snack  

A is the assonance in the example, the vowel is clearly stressed in this example.  This is usually given in poems to give the poem a nice sound to it.
