I think that one of the best solutions for the fact that water is becoming scarce is that we recycle water. Just like in singapore we have a way of reusing water that has already been used after a lot of refining. We could also desalinate water but given the state of lots of the water in china it could be hard to find water that is suitable to be refined from the ocean.

We could impose taxes apon companies for their amount of pollution that they pollute. We could tax upon the square metre of pollution that they emit.

Promote consumer awareness, by making it more known that these companies are doing harm to the environment. Promote the apps that help you see which companies are sustainable and which are not. This way, consumers can hold these companies accountable, and vote with their dollar. Additionally, make the fact that these companies are polluting the water supply more known. Tell the Chinese citizens that these are the companies that are polluting their water, and causing them so many health damages. Additionally, give grants or subsidies to sustainable companies. You can’t control what the consumer buys, but you can definitely influence it.

Environmental issues caused by the production of Fast Fashion Industries in China has now become a very serious problem, a major cause contributing to the 70% contaminated rivers in China. Massive pollution is created in the cloth industry, even 1 Major Brand can produce the waste of water equivalent to 43000 olympic sized swimming pool which is 3.2% of global usable water annually. As a result to this massive unsustainable production, many of the beautiful rivers like River Li in China is no long available for the residents. In order to help the locals regain their old lifestyle, prevent climate immigrants and restore the natural environment of China before it is too late.

A simple and easy way to reduce the waste and toxic pollution is to make regulations on reusing any available materials. ¾ products factories make ended up in landfill before entering the market. By reusing the cloth materials instead of throwing those away, the process of production is going to be more sustainable without extra waste.

At the same time, China can look up to some examples of other countries trying to keep their river clean and reduce the pollution. By banning some toxic and undigretable chemicals in factories, the waste water would be easier to treat before it enters the river and cause less environmental impact. Though we understand that banning such a widely used and cheap chemical will cause some economic disadvantages, but from a long term point of view, this viable method will reduce the pollution in many rivers, meaning less money will be investigated to repair and more resources for the entire country. We hope you can carefully consider some viable methods or use the above information to take care of the rivers in China.
