"Stop, stop!"
I wish that I never came to Venus in the first place. All that has happened since I got here is being pushed around. And now I'm in a closet. I really, really hope that my teacher realizes that I'm missing, but I bet she won't. Nobody ever realizes me, no one, ever.
"The sun came out!"
"I can't believe it"
I hear coming from outside. Well, I guess that there is nothing that I can do now, so maybe I could just try to imagine that I am out in the sun, playing. Nope. Doesn't work. Maybe if I just clear my mind and pretend that this is just a normal day. Nope. Doesn't work either. This isn't a normal day, and I should be out there as well, basking in the sun, with the warm sun peering down on me.

Darkness filled the small room as I heard them lock me in. Crying, protesting, pounding, weeping, wailing then silence. Silence wrapped around me like a blanket. It was then interrupted by child like laughs. Faded, distant but clear enough. Through small holes, I could see the silhouette of a little girl running around, followed by many children. All by myself, I surrender to the immense quietness in that still, isolating room. I have never felt so alone in my entire life.

Alone, alone, I was alone, like an iceberg in the middle of the sea. Like the iceberg, I was cold, freezing, frigid, stone-cold, on the hard cement floor of the coat closet. Where would be spending the next few hours.
"Why do they hate me?!" I screeched, banging my head against the dark wooden door rapidly. "Why, why, why!?" my screams got quieter as the tears flowed in.
It had been almost an hour according to my estimation, I had no watch, no clock, no source of telling time at all. I found a rock, or a blade, just something sharp that I used to play games on the cement.
Hour, after hour, after hour, I had reached my limit I was done. I sat there alone, like an iceberg.

"No don't!" I say right before they shove me into a big closet. They slam the door and walk away. It seemed like the longest time before the Sun came out. I watched all my classmates run and frolic like little bunnies and at the moment all I wanted to do was take the Sun and keep it for myself. The rest of Venus can suffer from never seeing the Sun again. Then, the clouds slowly cover the Sun, and it all turns gloomy. I hear my classmates, slowly and quietly walk up to the closet door. And even slower, they open the door.

Darkness fills the small room I share with my body and my mind. I screamed into the silence "Hello? Hello? Hello?" but no one answered. As I kept screaming, I heard the immense silence lighten as I hear joyful screams, delighted chirps, and happy laughs. What is everyone so happy about? And then I hear the doors open, the doors that hold out the storms, the weather, the crystal fall of rain, and I realize I can see cracks of light beyond the door. The sun came out. As this crazy thought settles in my head, I think, "Why would that happen, it has been raining for such a long time!" My body cries out as I realize it has been cramped and pushed and prodded for a few minutes, and I want to get out of this crowded space, this claustrophobic space.

I was in the closet for two hours, missing the glory of the sun. My classmates didn't listen to me, didn't hear me pounding, and screaming, and desperately trying to open the door. I tried and tried, but no one heard me. I eventually gave up and curled into a ball on the floor of the closet. I felt sad, I felt angry, I felt neglected, but most of all, I felt alone, like no one cared, because they didn't. I knew I was different because of my fortunate past. I knew I was different because of my possible future, and I knew that my class envied me, but all I wanted right then was to see, and feel the sun. But there was no possible way, because I heard the rain start pounding again, like Native American drums. My classmates finally let me out. They looked sorry and ashamed, but I couldn't forgive them, not yet.

	The silence.

It began pressing into me as if the walls had begun to cave in as I searched for a handle, a door, a window, a way out.

“Ready, children?”

My teacher.

I banged and hit and kicked and screamed hoping she might hear me.

And then they were gone.

I quickly realized that there was no escaping this locked-up cell. I was their prisoner, wasn’t I?
All I could hear were my own thoughts, which soon turned to the realization that today was the day. The day of the sun. The other children who have tortured me, bullied me, ruined me, were now able to see the sun. The sun that made my life better than it ever was, ever will be.

The raindrops falling from my face soon turned to waterfalls, then to oceans, as I realized that I had missed my chance to see the sun and prove that I needed to come back to Earth where my life would be made much better.

The sun. The bright, the burning, the overpowering sun. Remembering the feeling of this great flaming bronze ball brought me anger for what could have happened, and what should have been. I should be home, on Earth where the people accept me, even if I do stand apart.

If only I didn’t stand apart.

Would it all be different if I didn’t? Would I be better off as one of them?

	“Margot! Margot!”

	“Yes?”

“Were you remembering the closet again?”

If only my parents knew. That was a while ago, I'm now stuck in this dreadful closet stuck here like a car deep in mud. I feel like crying humongous drops of tears and just letting it all out, but I then remembered how water feels, its cool and cold shape hitting me like how a bullet pierces skin. I despise water, I hate water, I wish it was never there in the first place.

The kids were ye;ling and shouting and screaming with joy, so loud I could hear it all the way from inside the closet. The rain stopped.

Five years. Five years it had been since I left my cozy cabin in Ohio and moved to the planet Venus. It had felt like an eternity. However, the length of the time in which the sun had not been seen by me was just the first of my problems. The other, was the fact that they had not seen it for longer. In fact, each and every one of the other children did not have a single memory, could not make a single picture in their head, of the bright yellow rays that sear the body in the most wonderful way. Their envy spawned from the fact that I could remember it while they could not. And thus, for five years at the school in the underground tunnel, they took out all the envy that they ever felt, all the anger that they could not keep inside, they took everything out on me. The pale girl with the snowy eyes, whose only care was the sun.

I’ve cried and cried whilst screaming and reaching out for someone, anyone at all to let me out of this godforsaken prison! I think back to when they first pushed me into this room. Why would they do that, what reason was there; just because I saw the sun and all of its glory? Now all I can do is cry and wait for them to see the sun and then maybe, just maybe they will realize that I was right about the sun after all.

The children seemed scared of William, which had caused them to pick on me with no remorse. Inside of the closet, I had felt the bullying go to y head. I could hear the children's sinister laughter slowly fade away, leaving me alone with my own thoughts. Why did they feel the need to lock me in? Did they have a secret I wasn't allowed to hear? If the sun were to truly come out, I would have missed the only thing that gave me hope amidst the terrible live I was given on Venus. And, I was correct. The sun came out, and I was trapped in.

I vividly remember what happened on the day the Sun came out. I had just been locked in the closet by the other children. At that moment I sat down in the closet in utter shock. After realizing what just happened I got up and started pounding and ramming into the closet door hoping I would break down the door, but of course it did not work.

I think about boarding the ship, feeling content, exhilarated. But now, I'm desolate, inconsolable. I know I'm going back to Earth soon, but I can't shake that feeling that something will go wrong. Like the universe has turned against me in the most hateful and resentful way. William is such an infuriating kid who gets on my nerve like a car alarm ringing for hours on end.

As William shoved me in the closet, I felt anger rushing through me like a raging river, as a banged and shouted for the other kids or someone to just help me. No one came. As the darkness of the closet and the silence of the world crept on me like a jaguar hunting it's prey. While I was in the closet I couldn't tell the passage of time, as there was only my own thoughts to keep me company and talk to me, and as I was thinking of why the other kids would do such a horrendous things to me, I felt my eyes succumb to the wight and I drifted off into sleep. The next time I would wake up, I would realize that I would miss the most important thing I have been waiting for on my time on Venus.

"No stop!" Margot screamed as the children locked her in the closet. "I'm trapped" Margot thought. "Those kids Have done nothing but torture me the minute I stepped on this planet." She continued to bang on and slam herself against the door, desperately trying to get out. Eventually Margot grew tired and curled up into a ball against the wall. "Why... Why would they do this" Margot cried. "Why!!"

As I sit by myself I wonder, do I deserve this, do I deserve to be sent to earth, do I deserve to be forgotten and locked in the stomacheof the closet? I send so many questions into existance of the giant miserable planet of venus. Why was I locked into this dark wooden prison of the closet? Am I not supposed to feel the hiting hot rays of the sun? Why was I brought to venus? My anger does not sleep anymore and erupts, pounding, kicking, and pleading for the door to feel sorrow and release me from my cage. Soon my electricity of anger floats away and so does the clear bead necklaces upon the roof, the walk, the gardens, the forests, and my dreams came true. My dreams were taken by the other children. The sun, the flower, the penny, the fire in the stove. As the wait for another seven years starts, I sit by myself and wonder, do I deserve this?
