For the colouring of Hannah's design I took inspiration from several muslim art works. These artworks consisted of warm/earthy colours such as brown, blue and green. Variations of these colours were used in my design.

Complex and Tessellating Patterns:
Complex and tessellating patterns were used in the design of our logo. The logo that can be seen in our Padlet background, has been inspired by several muslim artworks.

Intricate Line Work:
One element of design that will feature in our event is intricate line work. This is commonly found in Arabica calligraphy. With the use of my geographical background, I will be using the My School Website to access information provided on over 9,500 schools and campuses in Australia. Through this, I will be able to find in Perth schools that are located in areas that have families from diverse backgrounds in order to better cater to our target audience.

The festival is called the Gertrude Street Projection Festival and features different designs displayed on street front buildings (pictured below).

    The lighting brings a large scale representation of islamic art to interest visitors and to aid in lighting the festival during the later running hours. Other portable flood lights would be used to light the festival at night.

    For our festival I would use lights with colours in line with the theme and culture of Islam. These would include blue, green, orange, silver and red among other colours that are associated with Muslim culture.

    This is where I would collaborate with Hannah in making a light filter to put over the lights to project onto a building. The design would have to be more simple than intricate so the hues don't blend.

    An example of a light filter that might be used (designed by Hannah and coloured by Lachlan) can be seen in the background.

Content filmed would include interviews with selected Muslim celebrities and live streaming the main stage and speeches. This gives timeless viewing for people all around the world to celebrate cohesiveness between cultures.
