Effective Communication

This line from the second paragraph of this article really caught my attention, "it might seem easy, but communicating effectively actually takes quite a bit of finesse." This is so very true. I believe that sometimes we lose track and forget there is both an exceptable and unacceptable way to communicate. Especially when communicating within the work place and leadership to employee and vice versa.

I know that personally I have had issues with miscommunication as I'm sure many others have as well, on both a personal and work level. People are not always clear and concise with their communication and to go hand in hand with that, body language

also plays a large factor in how a person is interpreted or understood.
Leaders & Philosophy

"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves." -Chinese philosopher Lau Tzu

This is a fantastic quote and really encompasses the essence of leadership, as we have discussed so much of the managerial mindset, decision making and relationships. There needs to be a hierarchy/ranking in the work place and a respect for leadership. But I do agree that a good leader will do the background work to help propel his/her employees in the work place and help them with leading the company toward success as well as helping them with their individual personal growth.
