Welcome everyone! So great to "meet" you. A bit about me...

I was an elementary classroom teacher for 16 years prior to joining IDE Corp. I worked for 12 years in Vegas, and 4 in Naples, Florida. I've taught grades 1-4, with special ed and gifted kids mainstreamed into my room. I was born and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, went to college at Marquette University in Milwaukee and got my degree in advertising/marketing. I did that for 12+ years in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Los Angeles, before going back to school to get my masters in education at Pepperdine. I met my husband 17 years ago in Vegas, and we moved to Florida 6 1/2 years ago. I'm Elizabeth Pitel, and I am a Middle School Instructional Technology Specialist/ Computer and Financial Literacy Teacher at 3 Middle Schools in Washington Township School District in Sewell, NJ. (a suburb of Philadelphia)
I work with students and teachers in all different classes with all things instructional technology and run professional development workshops for teachers. I also work with a group of 7 and 8th grade students teaching them Financial Literacy using technology. I wear many hats! 
Prior to this position, for 10 years I was a Special Education Teacher in Math classrooms working with students who have learning and physical disabilities.  
Personally, I am married and have 2 boys aged 12 and 10. My only hobby now is pretending to be a taxi cab or Lyft driver for slews of children as they are taken to their sports and activities. In the summer I love to read, go to the lake, bake and sew.
I actually grew up in Upstate NY (Binghamton area), and for a while did have family in the Armonk area- so I know your area well!

I love fixing/ repairing computers and helping people with technology issues. I have coached my son's baseball team for over 5 years. I am married and have 2 boys age 12 and 7. They are the reason why I moved to Pelham; to help give them a better education. I love to teach students how to play sports and teach people how to use / or enhance technology in their lives. Even if it's basic to us; it means alot to that person who never knew what it was or how to use the new technology.
