Staci has a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and achieved National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certification in the area of Middle Childhood. She was a classroom teacher for thirteen years, worked as an instructional coach, and worked one-on-one with students with learning disabilities. Staci has facilitated training on various early learning topics both locally and nationally, and sits on several statewide early childhood committees that aim to increase access to early learning programs and improve kindergarten readiness. Staci has been at the Commission since 2008, and enjoys coordinating early literacy programs, conducting training, and facilitating outreach in the library field.

Charlene Beach has been an educator for over 30 years. She began in Outdoor/Environmental Education and then taught elementary school in primary and intermediate grades for 23 years. She was National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certified teacher in Early Childhood Education, and spent three years teaching in an international school in Chennai, India. She now works for the Coeur d’Alene Library promoting early literacy through outreach and on-site programs.

Amanda Bowden has worked as the Children’s Librarian for the Portneuf District Library in Chubbuck, Idaho since September of 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and did her masters work in literacy, both from Idaho State University. Amanda has extensive experience working with Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25, including Head Start and the Early Intervention program.. Amanda has presented at local, state, and national conferences about music and literacy, as well as library programming and services. She is an approved trainer with the Idaho Commission for Libraries for Early Literacy in Action and has presented this training since 2014. Amanda serves on several state and local early learning committees, including the Bannock County Early Learning Collaborative. Above all, Amanda loves sharing stories with children.
