I think our teachers can plan lessons and activities that get our students to be more self-reliant and accountable for their learning. Will start at the level I teach, get buy-in then osmisize from there.

Building mindset that teachers are working for the benefit of students is a point that resonated with me. Teaching is a job where teachers mould the future of Singapore. However, it is very discouraging when JH have the negative mindset of putting self over others and creates a toxic T&L environment.

ZDSN was concerned about the underperformance of our Express students. She was assessing if we are aware of the situation and are doing something about it. She had given some advice on what we could do to address the situation. She reminded us not to be discouraged by the situation as well as the recent negative publicity on the school. KP and experienced teachers must handhold the younger teachers. In rolling out large scale school programmes, we must be aware that the needs of the staff are taken care of. This is with regard to the School Climate, to enhance staff engagement.
