The Reconstruction was a success because back when the African Americans couldn't vote and became slaves, it was at the worst point of humanity. The Reconstruction was a success because after the Civil War the African Americans began to rise and be noticed giving them to representation and be able to make a change. The Reconstruction changed the ways of how people think and treat the African Americans leading to the way we are and live in the world today
