Hello, my name is Mariam, I am 11 years old, 6th grade student. I live in Georgia, I am very, very happy with the New Year. That is why I am making a presentation in this regard: New Year - a holiday according to the locally accepted calendar in many cultures, which takes place from the last day of the year to the first day of the next year. According to the Gregorian calendar, the New Year falls on the first of January. The New Year is an important holiday of the year in Georgia, which everyone, big or small, is looking forward to. The population celebrates the New Year with new hopes, wishes and goals against the background of a festive table or celebration. Most of the population of Georgia celebrates the New Year with family and friends. Therefore, it is important for Georgians to look perfect in the New Year supper, to be decorated with traditional dishes and sweets. . Every country has its own special tradition, but in this case I will tell you how the American people prepare for the New Year. Preparations for Christmas and New Year in the United States begin a month earlier - in late November. In America, Christmas is associated with celebrations, parties, gifts and wishes. Americans start preparing for Christmas by setting up a Christmas tree and decorating the house and yards with colorful light bulbs. It has also become a tradition to eat Christmas presents, which American children look forward to throughout the year. That's why lots of people visit shopping malls and shops in December and get Christmas presents for family and loved ones. Christmas and New Year symbols include a biblical Christmas scene, an image of little Jesus, Santa Claus, elves and deer. As Christmas accessories, Americans use beautiful decorations, a special Christmas pot red flower - poinsettia, red candles and tables.
