I think that we are messed up as a society but there's still hope.

I wish it was different, I would like to know that this situation wasn't real but it was and it's really sad to know that even if you are in certain association or school you are not  protected from what happens every day in our country and the world.

I found the documentary astonishing, it opens your eyes to the real problems within Mexico’s corrupt and unfair justice system, and the reality of a violent country that instead of helping victims and protecting them, blames them and tries to cover up for institutions with a lot of power. It truly shows how Mexico is controlled by power and not by justice.

I find it simply unbelievable and unacceptable that something like this happened. The life of two students was ripped off from Earth and the people involved acted as if it was not of a big deal. The fact that some of the soldiers who committed this atrocity haven’t paid for justice yet is terrible and they must be sentenced. I can’t believe that even the school tried to hide what had happened when they should have been the first ones to talk about it and break the silence. We live in a horrible world.

I am sure that as the Tec community, we can make a change, it is sad to know that we are not exempt from things like these that happen daily in our country.

What happened to Javier and Jorge is a very terrifying situation but the most important thing is that we do not have to forget them, because that is an example of how bad human beings can be towards others. I am very sorry for them, I hope these cases do not happen again.

This documentary shows the despair of the parents of the victims, the feeling of being destroyed by the news that their sons have been killed, we can see how the families go through those emotions and how all the people who knew Javier and Jorge feel. Also all the Tec community has to know what really happened and this documentary has all of that.

Watching this documentary was very hard because I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about this tragedy before watching it, and it made so sad and angry because as I was watching it I was finding out more more about how our government failed to keep us students safe once again, while watching it I had so many questions, how did they confuse two students with supposed “hit men”?, why did tec didn’t notice or perhaps didn’t tell that the next day two of their best students hadn’t come to class?, and why did it take such a long time to get justice, if we can even call it that, I just think that what happened Javier and Jorge is extremely infuriating and I wish people spoke more openly about this and raised awareness in such topics, because they affect us directly as students and citizens.

And also this shows how we still have a long way in having a government that prioritizes their people and not just the powerful ones.

It is too difficult to live with this situation, to live in a society where you have to be very careful, since we never know if we are going to return, it was a difficult documentary to watch and process the pain of their families and see the reality of this situation

I find the documentary really concerning really gut-wrenching because it exposes the real problem which is the corruption that exists in Mexico and how far some institutions may go to avoid getting a bad image. The students lived an honest life, they were just trying to make a life and finish their masters degrre, they deserved none of what happened. To make matter worse the families of the students were not given a peaceful mourning process. Because they were constantly fighting for justice.

When I see, when I see how easily two lives can be taken, when I see the people that are supposed to protect do the opposite , I really think to myself if this is the Mexico we are fighting for; because we have no guarantee this won´t happen again, that the history won´t repeat itself, and if it does, would we make the same mistakes?

As a student, it's tough to deal with this situation because violence can impact safety and peace in our community. young people have to face these circumstances and worry about their safety instead of focusing on their education.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge the resilience and strength of the students in our community and how we’re capable of overcome any challenge in despite of the problems happening in our society.

In my opinion, I thought the documentary was wonderful, because it shows in detail the case and how her family lived it, however the situation it shows is very cruel, I think the university should have addressed the situation with transparency and fairness, ensuring that decisions are made in a fair manner and based on solid evidence. Since it is crucial to maintain academic integrity and foster an environment where ethical values prevail throughout the educational community.

Every day I realize more how unsafe it is to live in my country and it makes me want to leave, but watching this documentary I realize that I must stay and move forward to succeed and guide my country to a better future and avoid this type of misfortunes, that is what the homeland feels like today.

This story definitely approaches the illegitimacy that institutions such as the government or the Tecnológico de Monterrey itself could show without any regret or conscience remorse. It pictures how humans tend to care only about them selfs and ignore their surroundings, it claims the deplorable situations that we accept just for not leaving our comfort. We could see something that seems wrong but we don’t care anymore, we usually excuse everything that seems out of place like the documentary mentioned “They said they were hitmen and we automatically thought they deserved it”. As a student of the institution were this disappointing situation occurred I feel ashamed of belonging to an institution that could just say “nothing happened, continue studying”, and I would like to take this pain and this knowledge in a way of forming something better than this.

I think this situation could just be described as savage. The actions of the soldiers that were supposed to protect us, the response from part of the TEC institution. And if that wasn´t enough, both Javier and Jorge were incriminated and the family couldnt even mourn their sons.

In the series I felt the desperation and sadness, the reality that the family had to face, the people of Tec and the soldiers, each one felt desperation of the same case, in these cases we get to see the sad reality of the world that unfortunately does not hurt and that is what leads us to be scared to death.
