Now if this happened in modern times it would be considered discrimination. When she refused her seat again many African Americans rebelled against this racism and discrimination by not using buses and instead only walking to where they needed to go. When this happened profit from transportation lowered so they eventually agreed that both African american people and cocasion people should have the right to sit where ever on the bus.
