Dr. Sussman has also provided mentorship to health practitioners interested in producing research to inform their practice with older adults and families. After Watergate, he founded the Washington Post poll, designing and conducting opinion surveys and reporting on the results. In 1981 he was in charge for the Post in establishing and directing the Washington Post/ABC News poll, again designing surveys and doing most of the reporting on the findings. Sussman left the Post in 1987 to become managing editor for national news at United Press International , in charge of 800 reporters and editors across the U.S. and 40 more in UPI's Washington bureau. He left UPI after less than one year, however, and became an independent pollster, continuing to focus on public policy issues.

BBC News Services

His related current and past board positions include Steward Partners, Portfolio Group, GreyCastle Holdings and Financeit. He also serves on the advisory councils of the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at University of Chicago and Invest for Kids. In September 2011, Sussman was the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from Brooklyn College, his alma mater. Among other awards, Sussman was named editor of the year by the Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild for his work on Watergate. After receiving a degree in English and history from Brooklyn College in 1956, Sussman worked for a New York City advertising agency.

Centers & Institutes

Consequently, the rate of people undergoing recommended colon cancer screening is low. The work done in this laboratory, in collaboration with William F. Dove’s oncology laboratory and colleagues at UW Hospital, uses quantitative proteomics to discover and validate serum protein markers of colorectal cancer for the eventual purpose of developing a minimally invasive biomarker screen. Plants respond to environmental changes such as drought by a complex network of signaling proteins whose levels of Thu mua phế liệu sắt thép giá cao protein phosphorylation are modulated throughout the cell. Our lab is using a mass spectrometric-based quantitative phosphoproteomic pipeline to identify the key components of these signaling networks initiated by hormones and osmosensing receptor proteins at the plant plasma membrane. Arabidopsis thaliana is the model organism under study since it provides facile genetic tests for hypotheses derived from the chemical analyses to ensure that the measured changes play important roles in planta.
