What we need is an education-focused service similar to IFTTT.
For those who don't know it, IFTTT takes the API from a huge number of internet services and allows you to create "recipes" that trigger function in one service based on actions taking place in another, and passing data between them.
If we had something like that for educational applications, we could implement whichever learning platform we want, and pull the relevant services together without odious integration processes and additional training.
