Students are able to practice/learn different uses of technology, and display thoughts in a fun visual way (Popplet for School, n.d.).

Popplet is a fun way for teachers to see what the students have learned (Popplet for School, n.d.). For example, if the lesson for the day is to learn about the moon and other planets in space, the teacher can have children create a popplet on a specific planet and what they learned/researched about the planet. Then students can show their work to the class and explain what their chart shows. The teacher can then asses each student work and see if he/she covered the targeted lesson objectives.

How is this technology used in Elementary Education & how does it relate to class

I feel that all of these technologies listed above will work very well in the Elementary Education system. Popplet and Socrative are relatively easy to use, a great starter for young children in integrating technology in the classroom. iPads are also a great form of technology to use, as some children have access to smart phones or iPads at home, they are natives of tablets. I also feel the discussions on canvas, and in class, as well as previous assignments has set us up for this assignment, with researching various current technologies in classrooms. We previously discussed and researched about internet safety, which is something I considered subconsciously when picking 3 technologies to discuss. We researched how to find the best websites to educate us on what technologies to use, and we also applied our knowledge by using various technologies ourselves, to see how they actually work. I believe all of the previous tasks helped me to complete this task with a better understanding of using technology in the classroom.
