• William Blake was born in London on November 28, 1757. He learned to read and write at home. At age twelve, Blake began writing poetry. In 1782, he married an illiterate woman named Catherine Boucher. Blake taught her to read and to write. The couple had no children. Blake made a meager living as an engraver and illustrator for books and magazines. In 1800, Blake moved to Felpham. He taught himself Greek, Latin, Hebrew, and Italian, so that he could read classical works in their original language.

• Blake's view was mainly influenced by the ideals and ambitions of the French and American Revolution. Although Blake was considered mad by contemporaries for his idioscycratic views, he is respected by later critics for his expressiveness and creativity.

• Blake's final years is spent in great poverty. In 1818 he met John Linnell, a young artist who helped him financially and also helped to create new interest in his work. It was Linnell who commissioned him to design illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy that Blake worked on until his death. He died on 12 August 1827 (aged 69) in London, England. His famous poems include The Tyger, A Poison Tree, London, Holy Thursday & The Little Black Boy.

                                                                         Sources: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/william-blake, https://learnodo-newtonic.com/william-blake-famous-poems

Maybe it's because he couldn't speak to him like he speaks to his friends. So, he doesn't resolve the issue. he is still angry to the person and the anger becomes bigger and larger.

He is always angry that he cries almost every day and night. But, he covers it with fake smiles, hiding his true feelings. He pretends to be happy. His enemy doesn't know about his anger. Also, he covers his wrath with cunning tricks. The anger grows bigger. Maybe he is now plotting for his revenge.

'It' refers to his anger or his tree. The small plant becomes a tree. The anger has becomes very strong. This anger now morphs into vengeance. It produces a bright apple. The apple is the product of his anger. The apple is poisonous. He intends to kill the enemy. The apple is shiny, it attracts his enemy. Maybe because the apple is red, looks so delicious that he wants to eat it. He knew the apple (it) belongs to the persona. The innocent enemy is tricked by the persona thinking that it is something delicious. Remember the story of Adam & Eve? Snow White? He was innocent to know that the apple is actually poisonous and deadly.

So, the enemy went in the garden at night. It was a really dark night. The darkness covers him because nobody could see him there. The persona is happy to see his enemy in the morning. He sees his enemy lying under the tree, unconscious or dead. This shows that the enemy has eaten the poisonous apple. His revenge is finally fulfilled.
