• Blake's view was mainly influenced by the ideals and ambitions of the French and American Revolution.  Although Blake was considered mad by contemporaries for his idioscycratic views, he is respected by later critics for his expressiveness and creativity.

• Blake's final years is spent in great poverty. In 1818 he met John Linnell, a young artist who helped him financially and also helped to create new interest in his work. It was Linnell who commissioned him to design illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy that Blake worked on until his death. He died on 12 August 1827 (aged 69) in London, England. His famous poems include The Tyger, A Poison Tree, London, Holy Thursday & The Little Black Boy.
