Knowing nothing about mental health or '13 Reasons Why', I would be influenced negatively by this author. This is because even though the author has an objective point of view, the facts and studies he chose were mainly conducting the negative effects the show had on people whose mental health was unstable saying that the show didn't demonstrate the right solutions, didn't give enough resources and gave off the wrong idea.

I put the tone of the Article as objective and negative, However the author seems to show the negative side of the argument to have more powerful points instead of focusing on the solution to the problem. They do show both sides of the argument though. It talks about how the actors from '13 Reasons Why' did a talk with the audience as themselves so people understand more about mental illness and Netflix put out warning before each season, but then it says that the Suicide Prevention scientist says "parents blame the show for children committing Suicide.

I would be influenced to not watch 13 Reasons Why as the author add a quote saying how the show shows someone killing themselves which is why the show got so much backlash. However, the author also adds that Netflix is trying to make up for this error by reaching out to viewers and trying to tell teens to talk about their problems. So i would not hate or dislike Netflix or the show, I just wouldn't watch it.

I would be influenced by the subject by most likely not watching "13 reasons why". This is because if I watched the show, I would most likely be influenced by the show to be more likely to be suicidal. The evidence from the author states that the author highly emphasizes the subject of "not watching the show unless you are old enough and mature enough, and talk about the show with your parent". Therefore, I would not watch the show by going with the author's opinion.
