The article argues how an artist’s social influence and background have a greater impact than the visual features in the price of the artwork using the database. They used learning machines to predict prices of emerging markets to visualize using only two variables: artworks sold only for visual appearance and artworks sold by the artist's name. The bias sets the social effect involved in the artist that sets the major difference between prices. Thus, the visual format may send prices high if the technique and visuals are well applied. The research supports my investigation to overview the social impact artists have to create whatever they want and consider it art and selling or bidding on the artworks for excessive amounts of money. Therefore, set the margin point to whether the art piece is good, or the artist’s name makes it good enough.

The author highlights the effects of today’s art on society and specifies how the elitism of art doesn’t provide knowledge and description to individuals outside of the social circle keeping understanding and appreciation closed to many people. Martín provides credibility by addressing her BA in Art & Technology, introducing personal opinions for the future of art: immersive exhibitions and technology applied in the development of creativity. Contemporary art is labeled as a broad expression for the only reason that art can be anything if artists develop meaning and appreciation, the invisible sculpture by Italian Salvatore Garau, auctioned for $18,000; consisted of nothing and eager the audience to imagine such as the artist itself. Martín introduces conceptual art by addressing it as a movement only to the artistic elite for the complexity of understanding to regular individuals. Conceptual art as the word says, focuses on the concept or idea the artist desires to transmit to the audience. Martin argues that art institutions lack in communicating sense and knowledge to the general public privatizing art, nevertheless, the audience shows a small approach to it. The media is greatly involved in the conflict and is interested in publishing controversial reports on art to gather more views. The article provides highly esteemed insights into the art conflict we are in today, strongly providing the public eye as the main theme of the article.

“Who’s afraid of Conceptual Art?” argues the term in today's modern world. The authors highlight that the audience is either fascinated or infuriated by conceptual art, they portray conceptual art as compelling by the idea or theme and not by the technique or material used or aesthetic and beauty. Invites the audience to think out of the box, putting aside all prejudice and standards of art to understand and appreciate new possibilities. They implied conceptual art as frightening because it forces you to change ideas and make room for new perspectives. The authors show credibility with extensive research and knowledge of the subject for philosophy and liberal arts students to engage in the arts. The book supports the question as a subtopic of contemporary art as today involves many conceptual art installations.

The YouTube video “What is Contemporary Art” is a guideline for individuals interested in the understanding and appreciation of art exhibitions. Turner Contemporary defines contemporary art as a “loosely used term to refer to the art of the present day and recent past that is innovative or avant-garde in nature." Contemporary art is subjective, referring to the fact that you are free to interpret and challenge your assumptions about art. Jo explains when going to an exhibition the most important part is "slow looking"; taking more time observing the painting and questioning the artists’ intentions in a search for connection or relation. The best artwork is the ones you connect with. The video is a guideline to help people connect with art and start to relate with it, providing information and key elements to stop hatred assumptions. The source provides essential elements that support my question by providing insights into being involved and creating interest in art.
