 I woke up at 7:00 and as soon as I woke up, I opened my phone to check if the mass started yet. I brushed my teeth, cleaned my face and went to open my laptop.

I watched and participated in the online mass. And because I was still sleepy, I forgot to check my attendance. HAHA. But anyways I woke up the second time at 12:00 and I really want to watch the Mobile Legends tournament because I was once been addicted to that game. So today is Ash Wednesday and it saddens me that we won't be experiencing the true essence of it. Because of this pandemic, there are limitations of course to be implemented by the government. And one if them are the prohibitions to gather at public places synchronously.  

Rev. Fr. Mylo said that when we celebrate or have Ash Wednesday, the symbol of the ashes are at the fore front of our reflection. The ashes have many different meaning. In the Old Testament, ashes are sprinkled as a sign of grieving.

The ashes are made from old palm branches. They are blessed at palm Sundays. It is a cycle of renewing to achieve the freshness and it symbolizes that when you repent from your sins, you come back to God as a refreshed and as a new life in you.

As usual, waking up at 7:30 isn't my forte. I usually sleep at 2-3 am and ending up waking at 12 pm. But for the sake of the mass, I pushed myself into changing my body clock. 

There's something that father said that scared me. When we grow up and get our career, even if it is stable, we will still look for more. Even if we are at the peek of our careers, we will still look for more. Like there's something that is lacking. People around us might think that we almost have it all, but for us, we always tend to say "may kulang pa".
