Part of this story reminded me of when we learned a little about plot, and how the climax is the point where the protagonist makes a change. In this story, the climax is where Jessie finally stood up to her grandma, telling her that she can't treat people like she used to.

This book was about a Ramen Shop, and the people that work there are Korean, and Japaneses.The Korean worker really wants to make her own food which is Korean Ramen ,and not only Japaneses Ramen, because lately their business was going really slow. The Japaneses worker thinks she is superior and the Korean worker doesn't really like that. There was a lot of arguing in this book but the ending ended on a positive note about the Grandmother and her granddaughter getting close and their relationship got a lot stronger.

This story is about a Ramen shop,whos business was going slow, one of the workers wanted to make Korean ramen not just Japaneses ramen,sometimes they would argue because one of the works thought they were the boss but there not,I really like the ending of the book because it starts off in a bad start then it ends up working out, the grandma and the granddaughter made a bond and they got close, this is a mirror for me because me and one of my family members wasn't that close, and we took the time to try and bond and now we are very close, ALSOOO its a window because me and my grandma are REALLLY close like thats my bestfriend and I really love her sooo much, and I tell her everything. I gossip with her, laugh,talk,drink,eat, A lot. <3!

this story is really validating (besides roman) as a trans guy. i'm not transitioned like at all but, this story just seems like a big mirror. i can relate to how Tommy was feeling about coming out. when i tried coming out to my mom a few years ago (it failed) i was very nervous as well. i also really like how realisitc the story is. i like how it takes real life things that probably happen everyday and puts it into a story. i feel like it really emphasizes a lot of struggles people that are considered "not normal" go through and deal with. id probably give this story a 5/5

I'd give this book a 7/10 because at first it was confusing, but it slowly became exciting. I liked the ending but I wish the author gave us more of an explanation as to where Nic and Tamia stand with each other. However, I think the title is fitting to what the short story is about. I would definitely consider reading from this author again, hopefully books without the cosplay and X files references.

The rating I give this book is a 8/10 because I enjoyed how the author wrote the book, it was fun and interesting to hear the story go on with the characters Doobie and Hayley. I also enjoyed how that ending with them standing up for being/ or having a different sin color.

I give this book a 6.5/10. The beginning of the book was very confusing Because it had a lot of anime references and movie characters that l have never heard of so it did make a lot of sense. But l did like the end when nic asked her out.

I would give this a 6/10 POSITIVE: I liked the general idea of people fighting against racism and having a book to read about that. NEGATIVE: I did get pretty confused at some parts and it was when we were learning about Hayley because it was kinda long (but I know that's important).

An image that popped in my head was the look of Hayley when they were describing her. I could just imagine what she was wearing with the dark purple-ish hair with the heavy makeup.

I would rate this book at 7/10 because I liked how sad it was because I like books that are either really funny really sad or happy. I would say this is a closed window because my Grandpa died but not my mom like how Jessie mom. I wish it ended that the mom wasn't actually dead and she was just faking her death.

Me and Charlie rated this short story a 6.5 out of 10 because the fact that this story is talking about racism and that darker skinned people are less important than white people. The main thing that happen in this story is that a black man saved a white little girls life from possibly dying due to a car running into her at 60 mph.

I would rate this story a 8/10 because there was some arguing and stuff. jessie and her grandma got into arguments. but this book is mostly about a ramen shop who's business is going slow. but it also has a part where a worker wants to make korean ramen and not just japanese ramen to spice business up.
this short story is very well-written with such amazing details. 8/10 still because some small confusion and etc. but overall a cool story.

I would give this book a 5/10. I feel like this book was a little to discriptive in some parts. They could add a little more about all the charactres and make the story more organized. The story was kind of all over the place and hard to read and find out what was happening.

Overall, I felt a little lost while reading this story. There were moments where I wasn't completely sure about the events that were happening in the story. I enjoyed how this story explored topics like racism, because they can help bring awareness to what's happening in the world, and what people can do to help. I would rate this book a 5/10.

Kodamas ramen shop is about a girl named Jessie that works at her grandmothers ramen shop. Her mom died, and ever since, the ramen shop food has gone more bland. I would give this story a 7/10. It goes a lot in depth into Jessie's life. I cannot relate to this story (window) because I cannot relate to working in a ramen shop with my grandmother.

I think this story was very good, there is a trans boy and he came out to his swim coach and his team found out and bullied him (especially roman) and at the end he finally stands up for himself and it takes courage to do that and to come out to people. i rate this a 8/10

I would give this book a 4/10. Now don get me wrong it was a good book, but its just not my type. It was just full of drama. Long story short the book was about these teenagers at a concert. One of them ends up liking the other and then a bunch of stuff happens and they end up dating. I just found the book to be boring. Now I am going to get off of the complain train and tell you about the positives of the story. I liked the authors format on writing the story. I could really visualize the events picture that we worked on.(That probably wasn't specific enough.) It was the chart where we talked about the events in the story. The beginning, the rising actions, the climax, the falling actions, and the end. The author made it very clear to me when the climax was going to happen. That is all I really got to say!

This story was quite interesting to read. I enjoyed some details that were included, like how the author came up with a whole idea for a band based off of important historical figures. The only problem I had was that we never got to learn much about the character's backstories. I think learning about where the characters come from is an important part to a story, and this book was slightly lacking.

This Book Is a solid 5/10 because I wish this book had more lore in it and it could have more details. this also wasn't really my book of choice when It comes to reading. I Like how this book gets to the point quickly and tells me the characters thoughts and ideas right away.

My rating for this book is 6.5/10 because I wish the title connected more to the story.However it is a great short story it's something that I would only read once though. I also wished it was a little longer I know it's a short story but this felt too short. I liked how it also wasn't predictable so I did not know what was coming. In all this is a great book I recommend.

I could not have predicted this story for a million dollars. I think it's a typical graphic novel/story that doesn't have much detail but plenty of plot still. We learn about characters and their desires/feelings. I wish there was a few more pages added to either the beginning, middle, or end.

Me and Jared Romero give this story a 7.5 because the story is interesting and shows what kids can imagine what they want to be if they were in the fight, but the party didn't match the story line. So I wished the title matched the story.

I would probably rate this book 7/10 because It's good. But also there are some parts that I do not like and they are confusing. Like when she is explaining here family tree it is very confusing the way she said it. But one thing is that I could just smell what it would be like in the Ramen shop.

I rate this a 8.5/10 because it is a great idea and it's something that involves a superhero but it is not about fighting a villain. At first it was confusing but then I grew to understand this short story. If I could change one thing it would be the protagonist being rich.In my opinion I think that it interferes with the story line.It still a great book Highly recommend.

Anders and I rate this book a 4.5/10. First are the positives, the story is very easy to in vision what the surrounding area would be like. Also the story had decent descriptive words to keep it interesting. The negatives are that the story is very blunt and boring. The characters didn't really express much emotion or really do anything. Another negative is that the story didn't go anywhere for almost 7 pages, which is a decent portion of the story. Last the dialog was overall not very exciting. Some other things are that the story is a bit to long for what it has to offer and it has a bit to much drama for our liking's. Also it didn't have much of a climax. To wrap this up we just want to say that this story is not for us but that doesn't mean you have to not like it.

I give it a 9.5/10 because when I read the begging it was like I got what they where saying but I did not get what they where doing but then I got it on pg.18 when it said "The fluorescent lights overhead flickered and went out with a popping sound, plunging the lobby into darkness." then I started to get it. Also I loved the story because of Nic & Tamia relationship, It was just so cute of how they got to know each other and slowly develop feelings for each other. Finally, I feel like the best part of the story was the ending because Nic finally asked for Tamia number and I feel like if I got to know what happens later after nic asked tamia for her number I think there will be a chance of them starting to date but thats what I think.

I give this story a 8/10 because it has a bunch of topics to keep me interested and made me wanna keep reading more of the book. I also like that the book uses a lot of details and make me picture in my head whats going on. I really like ramen so this book immediately caught my attention and started reading this book right away. The book makes us realize how much we love are family and we should cherish the moments we have with them.

The story was a little boring and there wasn't a part where anything really shocking happened. I think that the author could've added more detail or maybe a cliff hanger. I Personally rate this short story a 8/10.The story was good but some of the pargrphs felt like filler so that it could be longer.My favorite part of the story is when Santosh and Nani are eating crab and Nani tells him to go out of his comfort zone and talk to people in his age group because it's after that the Santosh listens to her advice and when the story starts to get more interesting.The Most interesting part of "Flying lesson" is when Tomas throws the ball into his chest and makes him fall to the ground because it's the part of story when the reader is introduced to Santosh's biggest problem,not focusing so much on school and being less of a nerd.

I rate this book a 5/10 because there are a few curse words in the story. I could say I kinda enjoyed it because there were a lot of characters but not a lot of major conflicts, I feel like they could have put major conflicts. All Shiran did is change her mind of not admitting how she had a feeling/crush on Jeffery. Overall this book could have added more details and conflicts.

I would rate this story a 9/10 because it was so funny and how when they went to the beach he went like "what is this place ahhh!"

there was also so much humor and who would leave their grandkid by themself in a naked beach!
