On top of this, we barely even have a say in the government.  This is nothing but injustice.  You may say that we are "virtually represented" in the Parliament, but that is nonsense.  After all, we are given no choice but to abide by your unjust laws and acts, and to do as you say.  No taxation without representation!!

Lastly, we are enraged by the Intolerable Acts you passed after the Boston Tea Party.  First of all, the Boston Port Bill; what right do you have to cut off our trade?  This is hurting our economy too much.  The Boston Tea Party was a result of your unfair treatment towards us.  We should not have to suffer even more from these new acts.  Also, the Quartering Act; we do not want soldiers living in our own houses.  This is definitely a violation of our privacy.  What right do you have to send soldiers into our houses?  Absolutely unacceptable!]]> 2021-02-02 17:10:14 UTC https://padlet.com/22fukuzawalena/dbn7k9rw9sx9ycvv/wish/1154815710 arielcardenas0 https://padlet.com/22fukuzawalena/dbn7k9rw9sx9ycvv/wish/1154816237 In the natural order of the earth it is time for us to separate and for me to go into the world on my own. You, King George, will no longer have any political rule over me. You must worry about yourself and all your other girlfriends. I have tried many times to leave, oppression after oppression, but I was always too nice. The time for that is over. I have no allegiance to you and I am a free person, able to make all my own decisions, with the consent of my people. I will make my own democratic government with elected officials to make up three branches: judicial, legislative, and executive. If you take this as merely words, the people of the United States are overly willing to protect our new sovereignty by going to war. I will fight to my last breath for I can no longer be held back by you.
