Video and music played sharing all our great accomplishments as a company and my team at the time had touched all of them. i was so proud of them and all that they had achieved. we were all super excited to see the teams accomplishments and frankly hadn't taken the time to look back. 

the next one is the aerie store opening at Spring Street (original). this was one of the fastest turns on a project i can think of. Lauren and Michael Smith, all poured themselves into this one as well as many others. when the doors opened i literally cried. i was so overwhelmed with emotion for the teams collective hard work. This was a one of a kind shopping experience that i was certain would kill it!!

It was Cyber Monday, in the 11PM-12AM hour, with my team in a hotel lobby, in Columbus OH, cycling servers in order to keep ae.com up and taking orders. It wasn't the smoothest exercise, but there isn't a greater example I can provide that exemplifies ones ability to directly impact the success or failure of the business on a large scale than that hour. Coming out of that experience, being able to do what you can to help keep the site operational, and working with absolute trust with your team members, is the best feeling I can think of when I reflect on my time with AE.]]> 2020-02-18 20:30:16 UTC https://padlet.com/vicsonntag12/2019Q4ServiceAwards/wish/447085099 https://padlet.com/vicsonntag12/2019Q4ServiceAwards/wish/447747084 As I reflect back on my career at AE, I have many accomplishments and amazing stories.  For me my greatest accomplishment took place in 2006/2007.  I had the opportunity to lead an initiative of implementing a new highly automated fulfillment center on our Kansas distribution campus (Ottawa II).  In less than 18 months & zero impact to the customer experience, this initiative transitioned a cornfield into a highly efficient automated facility processing over 6,000 orders a day.  The demonstration of passion, teamwork, innovation, collaboration and empowerment occurred daily throughout the 70+ member project team made up of external partners, AE technology team & many AE business departments.  We collectively knocked thru numerous challenges to deliver a foundational solution that has expanded over the years to support multiple facilities that currently process an average of over 50,000 orders daily.  Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity!]]> 2020-02-19 21:47:10 UTC https://padlet.com/vicsonntag12/2019Q4ServiceAwards/wish/447747084 https://padlet.com/vicsonntag12/2019Q4ServiceAwards/wish/448589915  Wow!!  I started in 1994, one year after AE became private label.  The majority of my career at AE was working side by side with Roger Markfield for 20+ years!  Anyone who knows Roger might say that is my biggest milestone!!!  :) I have had the opportunity to be part of the amazing growth of AE and have watched Aerie grow from a simple concept into the amazing brand that it is today (I'm proud to say that I am now part of the Aerie Team and love it! )  As I reflect, the best part of my time here at AE has been the wonderful, passionate and talented people that I have had the privilege to work with...and of course, the incredible friendships that I have made along the way.
