Clarisse - Clarrise changes Montag by making him think a different way. "Your laugh sounds better."

Mildred - Mildred causes Montag to get annoyed with her because she takes so many pain pills and doesn't know ho to not worry about her. It's extra stress in his life. "I should think you'd consider me sometimes." Montag spends so much money on Mildred and mildred doesn't appreciate any of it.

Beatty - Beatty tells Montag that he knows that he's not sick and he knows that he wants to stop being a fire fighter. Shows Montag that Beatty had probably felt the same way. "every fireman, sooner or later, hits this." This shows that Beatty had probably been in the same position once and understands what he's going through.

Woman in the Fire - The woman tells Montag to leave her in the house while the house burns because she would rather die than live in the society that they leave in.
