The major difference between the two is that Bolivar suggests a dictatorship at first before full freedom because of the strict social classes in the way. Similarly, the political causes of the South American revolution was from the injustices committed by officials. Economically, both revolutions stemmed from the taxes being imposed, but in South America, not only was it taxes, but also the people who controlled all wealth. The drive to reach the ideals of enlightenment drove the revolutionaries to fight for what they needed and wanted. The north was being taxed unfairly therefore they wanted to disengage from Europe.
