The Mayan civilization lasted for many years, but its height came around 300 - 900 c.e. The Mayan culture grew, causing more religious buildings since they believed in polytheistic. The Mayan's believed that God can still destroy the world, since he created it. For that reason, Mayans started to do human sacrifices such as blood, humans, feathers, jade, and shells.

The class structure for the Maya was in 5 sections for the social pyramid. The first section was the Mayan Ruler. The Mayan ruler had the highest rank of the Mayans. He was in charge of everything and he got the best of everything too. The second highest rank was the nobles and the priest. The nobles and the priest were the only society who knew how to read and write. The third highest rank was the merchants and artisans. They carried the economy like farming, trading, and crafts. The second to lowest on the social pyramid was peasants. Peasants were known to be the backbone of the Mayan society. The lowest rank on the social pyramid was slaves. Slaves were manual labors for their owners.

The Southern Maya strive for 600 years. But sadly they fell apart from a span of 50 - 100 years. Once the civilization fell, they knew that their culture would still live on.
