I think she's talking about the devil possessing her. If you look at the video, when Jay-z is raping, there is a total of six girls dancing around him . The part where Rihanna is wearing the white dress, the silver liquid hits her a total of six times . At the end when she's singing in all black, there are six guys dancing around her . And that triangle thing that she's sitting inside when she's in all silver, that has more meaning to it also . An entity is not human.

i think that "Umbrella" in the song means the love between them and i think that "rain" in the song means the troubles that come into the couples life. So shes practically saying, in the song, that nothing can get between their love, not even the troubles that come toward them. Not the merchandise, not the people, not the money. The only thing that matters is their love and nothing cant ruin that.
