         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born on July 9, 1819 in Spencer MA he died on October 3, 1867 in Brooklyn, NY. He became known as the inventor for the first sewing machine.          <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born in Green County, New York, in 1819. By the year 1849 he began working as a conductor on the New York and New Haven railroad. He later constructed a large crane to drill for oil and on August 27, 1859 the drill dropped into a crevice at 69 feet.          <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born on March 12, 1914 he died on October 6, 1846. He served in the Union army and navy during the civil war. His most successful invention was called the "railway frog" which allowed trains to be placed on tracks.          <title>John Deere</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born on February 7, 1804 in Rutland, Vermont he died on May 17, 1886. He was an American Blacksmith who founded what is now one of the largest equipment manufactures known as the Deer &amp; Company. He left to England in the year 1808 and was never seen or heard of again. he produced the first plow using a broken saw blade and found that it worked very well wit`h the thick soil.          <title>Cyrus McCormick</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born on February 15, 1809 and died on May 13, 1884. His father invented the first horse drawn crop reaper his father was working on a mechanical reaper when he passed it down to his son. His building in Chicago was burned down during the fire of 1871 so he constructed an even larger building and the idea of overseas shipping. He believed strongly that the South could not be defeated.
