We help to rescue, care for, and give each animal a good home. We have specific care centers for animals who have been injured on the streets and for animals who have been abused in homes. We help to nurse them back to health, feed them, and give them the love they need to get better. Also we offer services for families who want to adopt but can't afford all the things pets need. For example the humane society offers low cost spay and neutering. On May 1, the elephants of Ringling Bros. performed for the last time, following last year's announcement that Ringling would end its traveling elephant acts.
 Gucci, Burlington, Wrangler, The North Face, Timberland, Nautica and Net-A-Porter announced new policies to go fur-free and animal friendly.
They helped pass 220 state and local laws and defeat 58 bad state bills to protect animals.
