         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello! I’m Aya Hassanien, an instructional designer. I’m doing my MA in Education (teaching and learning). I worked as an EFL instructor for 10 years, I’ve also been a language assessment consultant for 8 years. One of the online courses that I really enjoyed was a problem solving skills course, where I had the chance to learn some of the tools and strategies that can be used to solve problems. The course included different scenarios and case studies which made it very interesting and interactive.</div>]]></description>

I have good experience in water development programs, integrated water resources management and development in arid and semi-arid regions, water demand management, water resources planning and policy, water quality investigation and monitoring, hydrogeological investigation, Hydrodynamic 3D numerical modeling, and Geographic Information System &amp; Remote Sensing applications in water resources. One of the best online courses I have taken is Motion Beast from motion design school. I was already aware of the course objectives, and all of the goals were successfully achieved. The instructor was punctual, and the course incorporated engaging activities and practical applications. Fahim (Senior Member, IEEE- EDS chair ) an associate Professor, Industrial and Service Engineering and Management department, Nile University Cairo, Egypt and the Director for Smart Engineering systems research center, Nile University. She is a Fulbright alumna. She earned in 2018 a Diploma of development practice, Regis University, Denver, USA. She finished my PhD in Mechanical Engineering, The American University in Cairo (AUC). Egypt in 2015. Before that, she earned her master’s and BSC in Mechanical Engineering, AUC.   She won the state encouragement award for women 2020, and Hazem Ezzat Research excellence award, 2021 and Loreal UNESCO for Women in Science 2021 Egypt young talents program. She received a grant for Egypt Higher Education Climate change partnerships Grants in collaboration with Nottingham University and the British council. She received a grant for capacity building for “Women in Science and Engineering" from IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. She also received several grants for gender equality and capacity building in Education from the British council. She was selected in 2019 to be among the members of the first scientific council of the Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences (EYAS) as a part of the Academy of Scientific Research &amp; Technology (ASRT) to empower and encourage young Egyptian scientists in science and technology.  She participated in Fulbright Junior Faculty program for renewable energy in 2016. I was also a part of an Entrepreneurship and leadership Program, 1000Women, Goldman Sachs,2016 which was executed at AUC for 6 Months. She won Newton Mosharfa institutional link award for two years in collaboration with Nottingham University, UK. for manufacturing plastic bags from natural materials where She got acknowledged by Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for my work at the 3rd National Youth Conference in Ismailia, April 2017.   She is a member in the Power Africa steering committee, volunteer in IEEE Smart Village committee and treasurer of IEEE CIS Chapter, Egypt. Moreover, she was one of the members in the Events Committee of the IEEE Humanitarian Activities, 2018.She was also the technical chair for the first IEEE SIGHT Egypt ideation camp 2018. She is currently a member of the impartial committee of the body for granting certificates of conformity for products, the General Organization for the Control of Exports, and Imports. She is also one of topical advisory panel, in Polymers Journal, MDPI, She is also a member of the Coronavirus Global R&amp;I Collaboration Portal and a member in the Leaders in Innovation alumni society, Royal academy of Engineering and  a member in the Egyptian National Network Nanotechnology.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud. Professor and Dean of Faculty of Science, Beni-Suef University and adjunct professor at the Biology Department, School of Sciences and Engineering, American University in Cairo. I have PhD and MSc in Ecology from Cairo University. I'm acting as a representative of Beni-Suef University in several committees in the the COE for water. I've been involved in developing three undergraduate courses. I'm also playing a lead role to establish a new Master's program in Water Resource Management's as a member of the postgraduate committee.  Beyond the curriculum development I've participated actively in the Innovative Teaching Strategies (ITS) workshops as an instructor facilitating the dissemination of the knowledge across Egyptian partner Universities. I published more than 60 original research papers in peer-reviewed journals presented at various national and international scientific meetings and I served as a PI and team member in several research projects funded by National and International funding agencies. My research interest is focusing mainly on environmental pollution and its impacts and incorporating laboratory and field studies in aquatic ecology, water pollution and treatment, valorization of agricultural wastes and circular economy. I’ve taught several courses in AUC and BSU include (General Ecology, Desert Ecology, Unity of Life, Diversity of Life, Environmental chemistry, Animal Behavior, and Scientific Thinking). </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I am Assistant professor at public works department, sanitary and environmental engineering branch, and academic coordinator at CISE Program at faculty of engineering Ain Shams university. </p><p>Jan.&nbsp;2012&nbsp;I achieved a&nbsp;teaching assistant&nbsp;position at the&nbsp;faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. During this job I did not only perform the various laboratory tests and data analysis tasks given to me but also enjoyed the true professional working environment there. This aroused my interest to do master’s thesis “Usage of Agricultural Wastes in Removing Heavy Metals from Wastewater”. I&nbsp;was blessed with the opportunity to recall the theoretical background of different problems regarding&nbsp;the disposal of the agricultural wastes in Egypt. Working with people of different backgrounds improved my social and organizational skills a lot. Overall, it was worthy journey that ended up with useful lessons which gave me the strength to move forward as a curious researcher.</p><p>At 2020 I achieved Assistant professor position at sanitary and environmental department faculty of engineering Ain Shams University.</p><p>More than 13 years of professional experience in the field of water and wastewater design and master planning for water and sewage networks and quality control including water supply and wastewater networks, pumping stations and water and wastewater treatment plants and Environmental Studies. Preparation of tender documents including drawings, bill of quantities and technical specifications, has experience with national and international organizations, associations and donors. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>David K Stevens is Professor of Environmental Engineering at Utah State University and the Utah Water Research Laboratory. After a bachelor’s degree at Tufts University and two years as an irrigation and drainage engineer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Malaysia, Dr. Stevens has more than 40 years of experience in research and teaching at Utah State University, Canterbury University (New Zealand), University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin and others. His expertise is in surface and ground water quality, environmental monitoring, environmental modeling, experimental design and statistical data analysis, environmental applications of transport phenomena, and drinking and waste water treatment. He has ongoing research in the growth and modeling of cyanobacteria and prediction of toxicity production in the Intermountain West. He is also the principal investigator for instructional innovation and curriculum development support for a USAID project for the development of a Center of Excellence for Water at Alexandria University, Egypt, with four other Egyptian and four U.S. partners.</p>]]></description>
