Contrasting flowers

I use white chalk to outline the flowers and added watercolor to color it. The contrast between large and small, white lines and bright colors, get the viewers attention.

I made patterns on the background zigzag lines and curved lines. I mixed watercolor to make my skin tone, I used black chalk to outline my portrait. I added different tones of color, darker and lighter.

The lines and shapes are placed so they look from a certain angle. I did a three dimensional figure. I added shadows to the paintings by using darker and lighter colors.

I use acrylic paint as my base. With chalk markers I added the details to bring painting to life. I use the white to highlight and the black to add contrast.

This was inspired by my Mexican culture and artistry. I made it using clay. I mixed some color to add contrast to the brown.

Colorful butterfly

I made this butterfly symmetrical. The patterns match on both sides. There is balance in the picture one side is mirrors to the other. I used acrylic paint and chalk markers to add the patterns.

Down the road

It is a one point perspective. The cars become smaller closer to the horizon. The closer the cars are they become larger.

Cockatoo

I use a gelli plates to transfer the paterns. I use combs to make the patterns as well. Acrylic paint was used for color. The chalk markers make add texture to the cockatoo.

I molded clay and carefullly moved the clay with my fingers. Constant pressure and movement to keep the shape. I smoothed it on the wheel with my fingers and sponge.
