The conference is held on Queen Mary University of London Mile End campus, which is an 8 minute walk from either of the closest two London Underground Stations:

Stepney Green Station (on the District and Hammersmith & City Lines)

Mile End Station (on the Central Line)

When exiting either station, turn left and walk down Mile End Road towards any of QMUL's campus entrances. Buses 25 and 205 are also available from stops near the stations.

The attached campus map shows the venue location of the Bancroft Building: #31.

Through the main entrance, you will find the David Sizer Lecture theatre is on the left-hand corridor of the ground floor.

Presentations are held on the first floor in room Bancroft 1.08 and 1.09, with lunch and coffee breaks in Bancroft 1.01 and 1.06.

Special issue call for paper dissemination: Intelligent Technologies in Communication Journal

Following from the conference, the Language Centre Department colleague, Dr Qian Chai, is acting as guest editor for the special issue Critical AI Literacies, Pedagogical Frameworks and Policy Ecosystems in Higher Education, and the journal is currently inviting abstract submissions.

The special issue takes an ecosystem perspective on AI in higher education, focusing on:

users and critical literacies

pedagogical frameworks and practice

institutional policy, strategy, and governance

Conference participants may be interested in submitting work that engages critically with one of these areas or explores the relationships between them. The abstract submission deadline is 30 April.
