         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Red Wolf Is found in the eastern parts of North Carolina.<br>It was designated an endangered species in 1967, it is one of the most endangered wolf species.<br>Red wolf populations were decimated by the early 20th century as a result of intensive predator control programs U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service initiated efforts to conserve and recover the species. Only about 40 red wolves actually roam there habitats today.</div>]]></description>
