         <description><![CDATA[<div>Any refusal to adhere to the boundaries of the classroom (as per obviously and garishly displayed in each room) should result in a consequence. Whether this is not taking off a coat to not putting away a phone. While these are considered 'small fry' in terms of behaviour, it means that the student is flouting and refusing to adhere to the 'normality' of the classroom, and thus flouting the culture we are seeking to adopt. This also means that noone challenges the decision of the teacher, as this is not only undermining the class teacher, but the culture we are attempting to create.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Blazers must be on to enter the school. check jeans etc and if a pupil is not dressed correctly on call must collect them and complete a phone call home informing parents the student needs to change. if a pupil has pink/blue hair etc they should be sent home or spend the day in isolation.&nbsp;This gives clear rules to pupils and  sets the standard for the day.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Only detention sanctions given if 3 missed in a week, this is fixed interval punishment, which we were informed is slow effect and wears off quickly. Pupils should have a detention if they miss 2 pieces. If we expect them to do HW they should complete it. Right now they could not do 2 pieces of HW a week, all year, and never have a detention (like speed cameras). </div>]]></description>

'This is how we do it around here', or The SLA way.<br><br>E.G<br><br></div><div>Students should do what they are asked, first time, every time.<br><br></div><div>Students, Teachers, and Parents should be polite to one another.<br><br></div><div>Students and Teachers should present themselves appropriately.<br><br></div><div>It’s important that these values are simple but umbrella as much as possible. They also need to be unpacked regularly (e.g. what is polite behaviour?) and sold to students regularly. E.G. Why should students do what they are asked first time every time? Because it keeps the learning fast, focused and fun. Nobody likes slow, argumentative lessons.<br><br></div><div>All students / parents should sign up.
