         <title>Forms of Passive Transport</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>   Passive Transport is the movement of dissolved materials across the cell membrane without using the cell’s energy. There are two types of passive transport, diffusion and osmosis. <br>    Diffusion is the process of molecules moving from an area of high concentration to one with low concentration. There is also facilitated diffusion what is a form of passive transport that uses channels made of protein in the cell membrane that allows sugars to pass through the cell membrane. <br>   Osmosis is the diffusion of water molecules across the selectively permeable membrane. Many cells depend on osmosis because it circulated the water needed.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Active Transport</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Active transport is the movement of materials across a cell membrane using cellular energy. Molecules in cells often move in the opposite direction from their usual way of movement due to diffusion. The molecules move from a place of lower concentration to a place of higher concentration. Substances that are carried into and out of the cells by active protein transportation include calcium, potassium, and sodium. Proteins within the cell membrane play a key role in active transport. Cells have to supply energy to do this specific cell function. </div>]]></description>
