To take risks, they need to know that they are with people they can trust, who will support their learning. In a classroom setting, even up to now that students practice distance learning, a supportive learning environment should make students learn to tolerate, accept and engage with different views. Students should feel safe expressing their opinion and don't shy away from being critical about certain topics. It is necessary to ensure that same quality of learning is experienced by students/learners wherever they are. The PPST enumerates the necessary attributes that a teacher should possess to be effective. Once this is observed, then we can be assured that teachers are always of quality; hence, effective in teaching.<br>2. The existence of PPST also provides a guide or roadmap on what the teachers should focus on professionally.
