<title>I learned that monoculture is the practice where one specific crop such as corn, wheat, cotton, etc, are chosen to be grown intensely in a large area of land that year. It carries multiple benefits like the limiting waste, and reducing crop competition. However, it also comes with some disadvantages, such as being very chemical and artificial fertilizer dependent. Which makes it prone to spreading disease quicker. </title>

<title>I learned that intensive farming is hurting the quality of the crops more than it being beneficial for the crops. New parasites and parasites that were under control have now emerged due to intensive farming and this type of farming kills insects and plants that are beneficial to the crops. Intensive farming also depletes the soil that the crops depend on and creates polluted runoff and clogged water systems. </title>
