In chapter 6, "Loopholes" by Trevor Noah in the memoir Born A Crime, he talks more about his childhood. The chapter is called, "Loopholes" because him and his mother, Ms. Noah always went back and forth disagreeing and agreeing for whatever. Also, he mentions how he was always naughty and continued to fight against the "system" just like his mother. Another main factor of this chapter, is that Trevor comes of age where he is expected to be more responsible for his Mother and life choices. Trevor and his mothers connection grow stronger as they are able to relate to things. The chapter ends with Trevor talking about trauma and how its good to feel it in the moment, then move on the next day.

The main point of Chapter 6, "Loopholes", is Trevor learning more about himself, gaining better control, and strengthening his connection with his mother. According to Noah's childhood, they would write back and forth to each other due to her busy schedule at work. Not only, were they having conversations, but they were taking key points away from those conversations. To conclude, Trevor learned why his mother did certain things and his mother kept him in check.

"Born a Crime" illustrates our essential questions: Who am I? How does my environment affect me?
Trevor didn't understand all things at his age, but he didn't need to because he either sought out to go behind the scenes or just ignore it. His mom told him that its fine to judge the system and ask questions, because the truth was most of it was B.S. A lot of the time, he didn't know why his mother did certain things, but he knew it was all for a reason. "My mother grew up with these rules and she questioned them. When they didn't hold up, she simply went around them." -(Noah 88)
